Learning to handle some Ruby

Whilst waiting for the final step in completing my thesis, which will include doing some co-clustering, I’m listening to a fine piece of chill-out music. The XX’s “Heart skipped a beat” featuring some kind of [aweful] short movie attempt of a spanish art group..
I’m using this time to learn a new programming language. Ruby!(link opens in a new tab)
It’s a scripting language. Everyone who has used it told me it’s amazing. Powerful and simple at the same time. Not to mention how elegant they say it is… So I’m giving it a try. You know, amplifying my known programming languages is something that won’t ever be deleterious!

Per anni mi sono sentito ripetere che, fra diversi esami, quelli più “tosti” erano Algoritmi e Strutture Dati e Linguaggi di Programmazione. Mattoni, non c’è altro modo per descriverli. Gente che ripete queste prove ad ogni appello, ormai da tempo immemore, gente che per laurearsi ha bisogno solo di uno dei due, o magari di entrambi. Averli passati nello stesso anno e alla prima botta ciascuno, mi inorgoglisce. E’ vero che in quest’anno mi sono dedicato quasi esclusivamente a questi 2 mostri, è vero che Linguaggi consta di un’ultima fase orale da affrontare a settembre, ma appunto… a settembre.. ora sono libero… Vacanze, viaggi, e libertà fino a settembre..
Che l’estate abbia inizio!
